After a few weeks of working super hard with their games, the Walkden Scouts had a games evening where they could put their ideas into practice and have some fun! An incredible amount of preparation and thought had clearly gone into designing and making the games. We were impressed with the range of different ideasContinue reading “Games night”

Hammock Camp 2018
Despite dismal weather forecasts, the Scouts battled on and went ahead with their planned Hammock Camp. And adventure it was. As the name would suggest, the Scouts spent two nights sleeping in hammocks and under tarpaulin! It most certainly wasn’t a camp for the fainthearted! Two night under the stars with the wind and theContinue reading “Hammock Camp 2018”
Crazy canoeing
How do you up your game with canoeing – go for a night canoe of course! This was a first for both 14th Sale and its leaders! Our Scouts and young leaders had a great time with Glenn and his team, canoeing along the canal in the dark. There’s always an adventure with the Scouts!
Chariot Racing
Two teams represented 14th Sale at the Charity racing. After weeks of planning, preparation and putting together, the Scouts proudly went to Bispham to race their chariots. As part of the end of year celebrations, the Cubs and Scouts all headed off to expend some energy! Three groups…three nights…one very tired Scout leader! Well done Andrew for hanging in there, and thanks for everything you’ve done for 14th Sale this year. Just the Chamboree to look forward to in a few weeks,Continue reading “Celebrating the end of 2017/2018”
Scouts Go Down Under…
No, not a fieldtrip to Australia, but a night trip to Alderley Edge caves. The Worthington Scouts had a great evening, and faced down some of their own fears as they crawled through the small, dark, damp tunnels. However, one person who deserves a special mention tonight is Andy! He really didn’t find this eventContinue reading “Scouts Go Down Under…”
