The Beavers tonight learned how to be smart shoppers and buy good food on a budget. They also learned how to prepare food such as pizza, fruit kebabs and savoury kebabs from fresh ingredients – tasty meals that are good for them! Yum!

Fun at the Farm
The Cubs had a less than typical visit to the Farm tonight… with no piglets or ponies in sight! Instead, the Cubs had Nerf Gun battles in the barn, building their teamwork skills and then they went round the Maize Maze. We don’t think we left anyone behind…..
Survival Skills – Done!
Walkden Scouts finished their last session of Survival Skills and learned about emergency signalling (Morse code and more…) . Busy Beavers….
Another fun filled evening tonight for our Beavers. We shared some more of our hobbies, collections and interested. Then we did some exercises to look at the effect of exercise on our heart rate, and then found ways to slow it back down. Preparing to be prepared!
Our Cubs tonight learned how to get ready for a camp. They practised putting up a tent in the hut, learned the Country Code, some basic first, and what to take and not to take in a rucksack! They’re now all super excited to go out and put their new skills into action…
