On Sunday, 14th Sale took four teams to Liverpool for the day to take part in the Shelterbox Competition. We had four teams entered this year. The challenge was for the Cubs and Scouts to navigate their team around Liverpool, using their map reading skills and then take on the challenges at each of the checkpoints. Despite the sheltering heat, the kids did brilliantly, rising to the challenges as always.
As you would expect, the Cubs and Scouts did 14th Sale proud with their enthusiasm, behaviour, manners and attitude. It was a brilliant day out for all who went along.
When the final team results were announced a week later, the children had done well!
Cubs came 6th out of 33 teams
Scouts ‘Is there a Scout About’ came 45th out of 45!
Scouts ‘Walkden Warriors’ came 25th out of 45
And finally Young Cadets came in 6th in their group.
