Sunday saw the uniformed organisations in Sale take to the streets once more to celebrate the new Mayor. There was a parade and a service at St Paul’s Church. Andy received this message from the District Commissioner a few days later…
“His Worship the Mayor Cllr. Robert Chilton and the Mayoress Mrs. Zoe Marshall have asked me to convey to all the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers in Sale who attended their Civic Service last Sunday at the Parish Church of St. Paul, Sale their sincere appreciation and gratitude for your support. The Mayor said “it was a very joyful occasion and demonstrated what we can do as a community. It meant a lot to the Mayoress and I, that you could all be there”.
Finally, on behalf of St. Paul’s I would like to add my own thanks for your help and support, to see so many members of our uniformed organisations in the Procession was indeed a joyful and uplifting sight.”
