Where to start… what to say… Chamboree 2018 was everything we had expected and more!
Chamboree is an international Scout Camp for Scouts and Guides, held every four years in Cheshire. This year, 14th Sale came along for a week of Scouting fun and activities. And what better way to start the event than with a visit from the Chief Scout himself, Bear Grylls who arrived in style by helicopter on Sunday morning. Many of our Scouts had the honour of meeting him and even gave him a high-five!

Other activities for the week included laser questing, archery, sling-shots, a disco, inflatables, a trip to the circus, a scavenger hunt around Liverpool, Scuba diving, African drumming, a little bit of science, football, movies, and a carnival to name just a few of the events that were organised to keep the young people busy all week.

For more information about the event, visit the Chamboree site for daily blogs of all the action. http://www.chamboree.org.uk/2018/07/
Whilst the parents were all keen to thank the leaders for giving up their time, energy and enthusiasm for the week to give the kids some amazing life skills and memories, the leaders were also quick to thank the parents for entrusting their children with them for the week.
