As part of their Fire Safety badge, the Cubs went to Altrincham Fire Station where the amazing crew from White Watch gave them a fascinating guided tour of the station and explained to the Cubs about the equipment and all the different roles they have to take on as part of being a fire fighter. They explained how fire fighting is just part of their job, and that they perform all sorts of different types of rescue, all in a day’s work. The Cubs got to handle some of the equipment, ask questions and a trip to a fire station wouldn’t be complete without the chance to sit in one of the fire trucks. The Cubs also learned about basic fire safety.
