The Cubs enjoyed a space themed indoor camp at Abney Hall Scout hut. The Cubs all received a Space log to record their learning about all things Space! The learned about the different planets, both from presentations but also mapping out the solar system in the grounds. They learned just how far away we are from the other planets, our moon, and sun. They also realised just how tiny our planet is, relative to other planets in our solar system.
They mapped out some of the star constellations and used glow-in-the dark dots to add to their creations. They also made inter-galactic slime!
Even though they learned and played much, they even found time to help with the washing up! Even astronauts have to take care of their spaceship! And some very sleepy astronauts were sent home after a very successful mission!
